Adjourn
The rain is thwarting our GOTV walking for Harrison today. We were able to get out last Sunday but need to cancel today (Sat 3/6) because of the weather and tomorrow because we will have to be at the LACDP 38th AD endorsement committee meeting where Harrison and Henry Schultz will be considered for recommendation for endorsement.
Then another major conflict will be the DPSFV event where the top State-Wide Candidates will be speakl DATE / TIME: March 14, 2010 1:00 pm to 4: pm – Speakers and Q&A PLACE: Grand Salon at California State University, Northridge (Nordhoff Street at Zelzah Ave.) Parking available for $5 in lot G4 on Zelzah, north of Prairie
Then on Saturday, March 20, 10am-? we will be participating in the Region 13 Candidate Endorsement meeting. Our own Diana Shaw will be considered for endorsement so it is important that all CDP delegates/alternates attend. (see information below). That means that our Voter Registration effort that day from 10-2pm will need to be canceled as well as our GOTV walking that afternoon.
Then, our SCV Fair Elections Committee is having Prop 15 tabling training on Sunday, March 21 from 1:30-4:30 which again will preclude our walking that afternoon.
Since there are so many other events going on right now, I think it might be best that people who are willing to GOTV for Harrison, contact me and I will give you walk-lists for you to do when you can. Call or e-mail me (661-755-3772)
I am sorry for the change of plans but I have no control over these mandated meetings. I will still be walking for Harrison on the Saturdays/Sundays that we don't have some conflict. Please check with me if you want to walk with me. We can meet at the Newhall Post Office at 3pm. The voters we are talking to are all high propensity Dems so they are a lot of fun to talk to and are very supportive of our efforts.
Our next DN38 meeting will be on Wednesday, March 31 (6:30pm-dinner, 7pm-meeting) at Urbane Cafe 25916 The Old Road Unit B-3, Valencia, CA 91381 (exit Lyons- turn LEFT, turn RIGHT onto The Old Road. Urbane Cafe is up the hill on the RIGHT behind Starbucks/Subway. Take the last turn (RIGHT) into the Shopping Center before you get to McBean. Then turn LEFT at the Starbucks. The restaurant is to your RIGHT around the corner. Or exit McBean. Go LEFT to the Old Road. Turn LEFT. Turn LEFT into the first driveway. Turn LEFT at the Starbucks )
